This car, developed by Ross Brawn and Rory Byrne who came with him from Benetton, gave Ferrari its first drivers title since 1979 and started the five-year streak that gave the Maranello team and Michael Schumacher 5 world titles.
The F1-2000 borrowed from its predecessor, the 399, but it improved its aerodynamics; especially on the front end with a high nose cone that then dipped to support the low wing and it had a more powerful engine that was also redesigned with a 90° V between the cylinder banks to make it lower.
Despite having a tough summer, Michael Schumacher ended up winning 9 races and 12 podiums which ended up crowning him ahead of Mika Hakkinen and Rubens Barrichello win in Germany rounded Ferrari’s second consecutive constructor’s title.
