Giorgio Piola has been covering Formula 1 since 1969. His detailed drawings of F1 cars remain the benchmark.
Motorsport.com is proud to be the sole owner of the Giorgio Piola Technical Archive and is honored to collaborate with Giorgio Piola and present his drawings through this series of exclusive Limited Edition T-Shirts.
This Giorgio Piola T-Shirt has been carefully screen printed with the precise and extremely detailed image of Ronnie Peterson’s March 721, a development of the 711. Nicknamed 'SuperSwede', Peterson drove 3 distinct models of this race car during the 1972 Formula 1 season, including the March 721, 721X and 721G. After two years driving for the STP March Racing Team, the Swedish driver eventually made the move to John Player Team Lotus in 1973, earning his first Formula 1 win at the French Grand Prix and going on to finish 3rd in the championship.
The intricate hand drawn sketch of the March 721 race car featured on the front of this T-Shirt was created by Piola in 1972 and is a perfect example of his skill and technical knowledge of Formula 1 racing cars.
This is a Limited Edition T-shirt, individually numbered in a run of only 500.
