Ferrari SF90 2019 F1 Art Print

The Ferrari SF90 was created with low drag characteristics and very efficient aerodynamics, making it the fastest car on the straights, but one that struggles on the tracks that require downforce. The two wins achieved so far in 2019 for Ferrari were in tracks favorable to the SF90 concept. The SF90 will always remain in history as the car that helped Charles Leclerc achieve his first two career wins. He proved he has what it takes to become a world champion by combining talent, speed, emotional strength, and ruthlessness. Because of this unique combination, it is safe to expect many more celebratory moments -  like the unforgettable one at Monza in front of almost 100,000 cheering fans!

  

In the Ferrari SF90 Art Print Giorgio Piola displays a profile of the Sauber Charles drove in 2018 and below it, the SF90 as presented in Barcelona for the pre-season tests. Next to these - and in a bigger size - the SF90 as it raced in Spa and Monza with the updates for those tracks. The table also highlights the main features of the SF90: Clean aerodynamics with a very tapered engine hood and sides that were the results of a study to improve the cooling system compared to the 2018’s car. Another key feature shown is the Brembo brakes. These make the Ferrari cars very strong in tracks where the braking systems need to be pushed to the maximum. The wings shown here were the ones used in Spa and Monza. The front one with the last flap noticeably cut to improve top speeds and reduce drag and the rear wing almost horizontal to achieve the same effect. Finally, a front and rear view of the steering wheel, which is probably the most complex in all F1. It governs almost all functions of the car and features the long lever of the clutch that allows drivers to improve their starts. In the case of Leclerc, this lever is operated with his right hand while Vettel does it with the left one requiring different setups in their respective steering wheels.
